Brooke DeRenzis is a Project Director at DC Appleseed. There, Brooke manages public policy research and advocacy projects on Anacostia River restoration, affordable housing and jobs for DC’s low-income residents, and revenue limitations facing the Nation’s capital. Prior to joining DC Appleseed, Brooke was a Research Analyst at the Brookings Institution’s Metropolitan Policy Program, where her research focused on a range of issues affecting the District of Columbia and the Washington region. Previously, Brooke conducted research on economic development policy at the University of Michigan’s Center for Local, State, and Urban Policy. Brooke received her Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and her undergraduate degree from Sarah Lawrence College.
